Peplio's take

I took the AI Readiness Check myself, and it's 15 straight questions across strategy, data, IT, governance and people, no signup needed. What I liked is the per-area score, because it shows exactly which weak area will block your next AI project, not just one overall number. Treat it as a starting point for a team discussion, not an audit, especially if EU AI Act compliance matters for you.

What is AI Readiness Check by SIMPLY.AI?

The AI Readiness Check by SIMPLY.AI is a free self-assessment that shows how ready your company is to use AI productively and safely. You answer 15 questions across five equally weighted areas and get an instant score from 0 to 100, with no registration needed.

The five areas are strategy and business benefits, implementation and organisation, data and IT, governance and operations, and people and competencies. Each answer scores 0, 50 or 100 points, and every area gets its own score, so you can see which weak spot could block your next AI project even if your overall score looks good.

Your result places you in one of three phases. Laying the foundations (0 to 38 points) means you should first build a clear use case and an AI roadmap. Pilot ready (39 to 71 points) means you can launch a clearly defined pilot with measurable goals. Ready to scale (72 to 100 points) means you can focus on monitoring, human control and wider rollout.

It suits small and medium businesses, larger organisations and individual teams planning AI projects. It is a starting point for discussion, not a legal audit or an EU AI Act certification.
