PeplioHUB Rules

How listings, launches, upvotes, reviews and writer requests work, and what is not allowed. Short version: list real free tools, be honest, and do not game the votes.

Last updated 27 October 2026

1What PeplioHUB is

PeplioHUB is a free community where independent makers launch tools for marketers, bloggers, creators and developers. It is part of Peplio (peplio.com), run by Sougan Kumar Mandi. These rules apply to everything on PeplioHUB: listings, launches, upvotes, reviews, comments, writer requests (callouts) and maker accounts. Peplio's general Privacy Policy and Terms also apply.

2What you can list

  • Tools with core features that are free to use: free, freemium (a real free plan) or open source.
  • Tools that are live and working. Waitlists and landing pages for future products are not listed.
  • Tools you own or represent. Do not submit someone else's tool as your own.
  • One listing per tool. A new version of the same tool is an update, not a new listing.
  • Accurate details. The name, description, pricing and images must match the real tool.

3What is not allowed

  • Adult or sexual content, gambling, betting, weapons, drugs or anything illegal where you or your users are.
  • Malware, phishing, scraping of private data, or tools built to spam, hack or deceive people.
  • Copied or cloned tools, fake reviews generators, and tools that break other platforms' rules by design.
  • Hate, harassment or content that targets people or groups.
  • Misleading claims, such as fake user numbers, fake awards or fake press mentions.

4How submissions are reviewed

Every submission is screened before it goes live. An AI check reads your tool's website and the details you send and scores them for quality and spam. Strong submissions are approved, clear spam or very weak submissions are rejected, and anything unclear is looked at by Peplio. Being listed does not mean Peplio has tested or endorses a tool.

Rejected? The email tells you why. You can fix the issue and submit again. Peplio may decline or remove any listing at its discretion, for example if the tool changes after approval.

5Launch Day and awards

  • Approved tools get a launch date. A few tools launch each day, at set times (India time).
  • Tools that launch on the same day compete for Tool of the Day. Tools that launch in the same week compete for Tool of the Week.
  • Winners are the launches with the most upvotes during their launch day or week. Voting for the day closes at midnight India time. A launch with no upvotes cannot win.
  • Badge partners (makers who show the PeplioHUB badge on their site) may get an earlier launch slot. This never changes votes or results.
  • Peplio may cancel an award if votes break the rules below.

6Upvotes, reviews and comments

  • One upvote per person per tool. You can remove your upvote at any time.
  • Do not buy votes, trade votes, use bots or ask people to vote from many devices. Asking your real users to visit and upvote is fine.
  • Maker reviews must be honest and based on actually trying the tool. Reviews are checked before they appear. Reviews of your own tool, copied text and paid reviews are removed.
  • Comments must be on topic and respectful. No spam links, no self-promotion in other makers' comments, no harassment.
  • If we find vote or review manipulation, we remove the votes or reviews, and we may remove the listing.

7Writer requests (callouts)

  • Callouts are public requests from writers and journalists, found on sites like Bluesky, Mastodon and Hacker News, and linked to their original post.
  • PeplioHUB does not guarantee that a writer will feature your tool or link to it. The writer decides.
  • Pitch only when your tool truly fits the request. Do not spam writers, send the same pitch to every request, or message them repeatedly.
  • The pitch writer drafts a pitch with AI. You are responsible for checking it and for what you send.
  • Report a win only if you were really featured. We check every reported win before it appears.

9Content on your listing

Parts of each listing, such as the overview, features, FAQ and the Peplio summary, are written with AI from your details and your website, and are labelled where they give an opinion. If anything is wrong, email us and we will correct it. By submitting, you let Peplio show your tool's name, logo, images and description on PeplioHUB, in roundups, emails and social posts about PeplioHUB.

10Maker accounts and emails

  • Maker accounts use a sign-in link sent to your email. There is no password. Do not share your sign-in links.
  • Listed makers get emails about their listing: approval, launch day, awards and a weekly report. Every weekly report has an unsubscribe link.
  • PeplioHUB updates and tips are only sent if you ticked that box, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

11Your data on PeplioHUB

  • We store what you submit (tool details, images, your name and email) and your reviews, comments and callout answers.
  • To keep votes fair, we store a scrambled version of your IP address, not the address itself.
  • A small cookie keeps maker accounts signed in. Your browser stores your saved tools and votes locally.
  • We count page views and clicks to show makers their stats. We do not sell your data.
  • To delete your account or listing, or get a copy of your data, email info@peplio.com.
  • More detail is in Peplio's Privacy Policy.

12Removal, reports and takedowns

To remove or correct your own listing, report a listing that breaks these rules, or report content that uses your work or trademark without permission, email info@peplio.com with the page link and the reason. We review reports and usually reply within a few days. Content may be hidden while we review it.

13If rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may give a warning, remove votes, reviews or comments, remove a listing, cancel an award, or block a maker account from PeplioHUB. Serious cases such as malware, adult content or deliberate fraud are removed straight away.

14Changes and contact

We may update these rules as PeplioHUB grows. The date at the top shows the last change. Questions: info@peplio.com.
