Why I Built These Free SEO Tools

When I started Peplio from Durgapur in 2024, I had a problem that I suspect every new blogger faces: I needed a dozen different tools to run my blog properly, and every single one of them had a paywall.

Image optimiser — ₹800/month. Site speed checker — ₹1,200/month. Robots.txt generator — another subscription. AdSense revenue calculator — buried behind a premium plan. Background remover — ₹500 per image. The list went on.

I was spending more on tools than I was earning from my blog. So I did what any frustrated blogger would do — I built my own.

Every tool on this page exists because I personally needed it while building Peplio and could not find a free version that actually worked properly. These are not tools built to drive affiliate commissions or push you toward a paid upgrade. They are tools built to solve real problems that real bloggers face every day — for free, forever.

As Peplio has grown, so has this toolkit. I add new tools based on what I need and what readers ask for. If there is a tool you need that is not here yet, contact me and I will build it.

What Each Free SEO Tool Does — And Who It Is For

Here is a plain-English explanation of every tool on this page, what problem it solves, and exactly when you should use it.

🔍 Site Strength Scanner

Checks your website’s overall SEO health in one scan — page speed, mobile-friendliness, meta tags, heading structure, and core technical signals. I use this on every Peplio article before I submit it to Google Search Console. Run it on any URL and get an instant health report. Best for: bloggers doing a quick pre-publish SEO check, or auditing existing articles that are not getting traffic.

🗺️ Robots.txt + Sitemap.xml Generator

Generates a clean, correctly formatted robots.txt file and XML sitemap for your website instantly. A correct robots.txt file tells Google which pages to crawl and which to skip — getting this wrong can accidentally block your entire site from search engines. Best for: new bloggers setting up their site for the first time, or anyone who has never configured their robots.txt properly.

🖼️ Image Resizer & Converter

Resizes and converts images to the exact dimensions you need — blog thumbnails (1200×630px), Instagram posts (1080×1350px), profile pictures, or any custom size. Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP conversion. All processing happens in your browser — your images never leave your device. Best for: bloggers who need correctly sized images for every platform without paying for Photoshop or Canva Pro.

⚡ Image Optimiser Tool

Compresses images to reduce file size without visible quality loss. Large uncompressed images are one of the most common causes of slow page load times — and page speed is a direct Google ranking factor. This tool reduces image file sizes by up to 80% while keeping them sharp and professional-looking. Best for: any blogger who uploads images directly from their phone or camera without compressing them first.

🎨 Gradient Generator Tool

Creates custom CSS gradient backgrounds for websites, banners, social media graphics, and blog thumbnails. Choose your colors, direction, and style — then copy the CSS code directly or download the gradient as an image. Best for: bloggers and small business owners who want branded visual elements without hiring a designer.

💰 AdSense Revenue Calculator

Projects your estimated Google AdSense earnings based on your traffic, niche, and geographic audience. Enter your monthly page views and niche category to see realistic RPM estimates and annual income projections. Best for: bloggers deciding whether AdSense is worth pursuing for their current traffic level, or planning what traffic targets to set for specific income goals.

📊 Profit Margin Calculator

Calculates profit margins for products, services, and digital offerings. Enter your cost and selling price to instantly see gross profit margin, net margin, and markup percentage. Best for: bloggers selling digital products, freelancers pricing services, and small business owners calculating pricing strategy.

✂️ Background Remover Tool

Removes image backgrounds automatically using AI — no manual selection or Photoshop required. Upload any image and get a clean transparent PNG back in seconds. Best for: bloggers creating product images, social media graphics, logo variations, and any visual content that needs a clean transparent background.

🚀 Peplio Mission Control

A personal blog management dashboard that brings your most important blogging metrics into one place — publishing schedule, content performance tracking, and workflow management. Built specifically for solo bloggers managing multiple content streams simultaneously. Best for: bloggers who want a command centre for their content operation without paying for expensive project management software.

💡 Niche Ideas Explorer

Generates blog niche ideas based on your interests, skills, and monetisation goals. Get a curated list of niche directions with notes on competition level, audience size, and income potential for each. Best for: new bloggers who are still deciding what to write about, or existing bloggers considering expanding into a new content area.

How to Get the Best Results From These Free SEO Tools

These free SEO tools work best when used as part of a consistent workflow rather than as one-off checks. Here is how I personally use them at Peplio:

  • Before publishing any article: Run the Site Strength Scanner on the URL. Check for missing meta descriptions, heading issues, and image alt tags before the article goes live.
  • Every time I upload images: Run all images through the Image Optimiser first. Then use the Image Resizer to ensure the featured image is exactly 1200×630px for blog thumbnails or 1080×1350px for Instagram.
  • Monthly traffic review: Use the AdSense Revenue Calculator to track whether my growing traffic is on track to meet monthly income targets. This keeps me focused on the right traffic milestones.
  • New site setup: The Robots.txt + Sitemap Generator is the first thing I run on any new WordPress installation before writing a single article.

For a deeper understanding of how SEO tools fit into a complete blog strategy, read my guide on why SEO is important for your blog and my complete article on what is keyword research — these explain the strategic context these tools support.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peplio Free SEO Tools

Are all the Peplio tools completely free to use?

Yes — every tool on this page is completely free with no signup, no credit card, and no usage limits. There is no premium tier, no free trial period, and no hidden costs. These tools were built because I needed them for Peplio and could not find free alternatives that worked properly. The goal is to keep them free permanently. The page is supported by non-intrusive display ads which is how I keep the tools running at zero cost to users.

Do I need to create an account to use these tools?

No — none of the tools on this page require an account, email address, or any personal information. Open the tool you need, use it, and leave. Several tools — including the Image Resizer and Image Optimiser — process everything directly in your browser, meaning your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server. This makes them safer for sensitive or proprietary content than cloud-based paid alternatives.

Which Peplio tool should a new blogger use first?

If you are setting up a new blog, start with the Robots.txt + Sitemap.xml Generator to ensure Google can crawl your site correctly from day one. Then use the Site Strength Scanner on your homepage to identify any technical issues to fix before publishing your first articles. For every article you publish, use the Image Optimiser before uploading any images — uncompressed images are one of the most common causes of slow page load times that hurt Google rankings.

How is the Peplio Site Strength Scanner different from Google PageSpeed Insights?

Google PageSpeed Insights focuses specifically on page speed and Core Web Vitals. The Peplio Site Strength Scanner goes broader — it checks page speed alongside on-page SEO signals like title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt tags, and mobile-friendliness in a single scan. For a blogger who wants a quick overall health check before publishing or updating an article, the Site Strength Scanner gives a more complete picture in one place. I recommend using both tools together — Site Strength Scanner for on-page SEO signals and PageSpeed Insights for deep technical speed analysis.

Are these tools suitable for beginner bloggers in India?

Yes — these tools were specifically built with Indian bloggers in mind. I am from Durgapur, West Bengal, and I built every tool here because I needed it while building Peplio on a zero budget. The AdSense Revenue Calculator includes India-specific RPM estimates. The tools are designed to be completely beginner-friendly — no technical knowledge, coding skills, or SEO background required. If you can open a website, you can use every tool on this page effectively from day one.
