beginner SEO

I once saw a page get hundreds of visitors and almost no enquiries at my own work, so I turned it into this SEO comic story. Mitu’s bakery gets 5000 visitors and zero orders. Read the comic and see why.

Then check my take at the end. It is short, and it may save your next viral day.

Episode 8- Traffic Aaya… Par Customer Kahan?

Mitu stares at the laptop in shock. “Paanch hazaar log aaye… ek bhi cake nahi khareeda!” Seema sighs. “Matlab log aaye, dekha, aur nikal gaye. Mehmaan nahi, tourist.” Traffic without sales is a big warning sign.

Three days earlier, the bakery reel went viral. “Sougan bhaiya, reel viral ho gayi! Ab toh line lagegi!” Sougan smiled. “Line lagegi ya sirf views? Dekhte hain, asli test baaki hai.” Views are not the same as customers.

Noisy Aunty shouted from her balcony. “Haay! Views se pet bharta hai kya? Dukaan band hogi!” Mitu panicked. “Aunty ne nazar laga di! Visitors kahan gaye, Sougan bhaiya?” Something was stopping visitors from becoming customers.

Sougan asked them to act like customers. “Customer ban kar dekho. Order button dhoondo, 5 second mein!” Mitu squinted. “Button toh hai… kahin chhupa hai! Jalebi mein dhaaga jaisa!” Traffic needs a clear path to buy.

At the cyber cafe, Sougan used the free Website Speed Analyzer. “Website Speed Analyzer batata hai: page 9 second mein khulta hai!” Outside, Paanwala cheered. “Meri reel bhi viral! QR scan karo… arre, error aa gaya!” Traffic after a slow page equals lost customers.

Sougan explains, “Traffic matlab mehmaan. Order button matlab dukaan ka counter. Dono chahiye!” Seema adds, “Yaani mehmaan ghar aaye aur sofa pe bithake bhookha rakha.” Visitors need one clear next step, or they leave.

Mitu proudly says, “Maine button bada kar diya! Ab toh andhe ko bhi dikhega!” Sougan replies, “Photos chhoti karo, page tez chalega. Image Optimizer ye free mein karta hai!” Try the Image Optimizer to make your site load faster.

Orders finally arrive. Noisy Aunty says, “Maine toh pehle hi kaha tha, tum jeetoge! Ek cake dena!” Seema replies, “Haan Aunty, bilkul. Aapka ‘nobody buys’ wala bhaashan yaad hai.” Traffic plus a clear next step equals customers. But who is watching?

SEO Comic Story Lesson 1: Traffic Is Not Sales

Mitu saw 5000 visitors and zero orders. Seema called them tourists, not guests. Views and visits are only the start. Look at what visitors do after they land. Google Analytics help shows how to track this, and conversion rate optimization explains the idea. I explain the numbers in my guide on what Google Analytics does.

Match Visitors to Their Intent

The viral reel brought people who wanted fun, not cake. That is a search intent gap. Ask what each visitor wants and give it fast. Google explains this in its helpful content guidance. I explain this fully in my guide on search intent in SEO. Good SEO brings people who can actually buy.

Fix the Hidden Button and Slow Page

Sougan’s 5 second test found a hidden order button, and the page took 9 seconds to open. Make the button big and clear. Compress photos with the Image Optimizer, then recheck with the Website Speed Analyzer. Read Core Web Vitals and Search Console mobile usability help. I explain this fully in my guide on Core Web Vitals.

Track It and Keep Improving

After the fixes, orders came in. Keep watching the data. Set up Google Search Console and read Google’s SEO starter guide. Add your shop details through Google Business Profile too. This SEO comic story ends happily, but real sites need regular checks. See my technical SEO checklist.

I hope this SEO comic story helps you look at your own traffic with fresh eyes, because every good SEO comic story should end with a customer, not just a view. Next episode, Mitu and Seema face a new puzzle, and Noisy Aunty will have something to say again.

I once built a website and waited for customers. Nobody came. That real moment became this SEO comic story, where Mitu’s cake site loses to a paan shop on Google.

Read the comic below, laugh a little, and learn the two fixes that helped me. If you are new, my guide on what SEO is and why it matters is a good start.

Episode 3 – Website Ka Jadoo

In this SEO comic story, we start at the shocking moment. Mitu sees Google ranking the paan shop first. “Paanwala number one?! Hamara cake kahan gaya?!” Seema replies, “Google ne bhi taste test nahi kiya shayad.” But why is the bakery invisible?

Three days earlier, Mitu finishes her website. “Sougan bhaiya, website ready! Ab customers line lagayenge!” Sougan smiles and asks, “Sundar hai. Par Google ko ye dikhega kaise?” A website alone is not enough. People must be able to find it.

Noisy Aunty yells from her balcony, “Website se cake bikta hai kya? Log kya kahenge!” Mitu trembles. Seema stays smart: “Log Google pe kya type karte hain, pehle wahi dekhte hain.” That is the first step of SEO: know what people search.

At the chai stall, Sougan teaches. “Keyword matlab sign board. Log jo search karein, wahi likho.” Mitu asks, “Matlab ‘birthday cake near me’ likhna hai, ‘Mitu ka dukaan’ nahi?” Yes! Meanwhile, Paanwala is secretly copying every word. This SEO comic story has a twist.

At the cyber cafe, Sougan runs the Website Speed Analyzer. “Photos bhaari hain. Website kachua ban gayi hai!” Then Seema spots a rival site: “Aur ye kya? Paanwala ka naya ‘Cake Paan’ domain?!” TO BE CONTINUED…

Sougan opens the Peplio Image Optimizer and shrinks the giant cake photos. “Photo chhoti, website fast. Kachua ab khargosh ban gaya!” Mitu gasps, “Arre wah! Ek second mein khul gayi!” Fast pages help Google and visitors in any SEO comic story.

The bakery now climbs up on Google. “Seema, hum Google pe aa gaye! Upar upar!” cheers Mitu. Across the street, Paanwala spies and cries, “Meri Cake Paan site kaam kyun nahi kar rahi?!” But who really owns that mystery site? TO BE CONTINUED…

A website alone is not enough in any SEO comic story

Mitu thought a finished website meant customers would line up. Sougan asked how Google would find it. A site must be crawled and indexed first. Connect it to Google Search Console and read the SEO Starter Guide. I explain the whole flow in my guide on how SEO works. Also read the Wikipedia overview of SEO.

Keywords are your sign board

Sougan told Mitu to write what people type, like birthday cake near me, not just the shop name. That is search intent. Check real searches with Google Trends and see Google’s advice on title links. I explain this fully in my guide on choosing low competition keywords. For a local bakery, also set up a Google Business Profile.

Slow pages scare visitors: fix them

The site turned into a tortoise because the cake photos were huge. Test your pages with PageSpeed Insights and learn the metrics on web.dev Core Web Vitals. Compress images before upload. I explain this fully in my guide on Core Web Vitals. A fast page helps Google and people in every SEO comic story.

Copycats lose when you keep improving

Paanwala copied the words but his site still failed. Copying is weak; steady work wins. Keep your content helpful, as described in Google’s helpful content guidance, and follow the Search Console help center. Use the Website Speed Analyzer often. That is the real jadoo of this SEO comic story.
